there was no surprise at how beautiful all black everything truly was when the siding went up. it was as gorgeous as I had been envisioning it, maybe better. there are no words to describe the deep satisfaction and awe I felt as I watched Ben and his guys install the biggest impact of the whole project.
this was everything to me. thinking that just a short year ago we were only imagining the barn of our dreams and today I was standing in front of it...incredibly close to it being complete. literally watching our dreams come true.
a purse with a pop
I've always had a long time love for bags. purses, clutches, tote bags, back packs, zipper pouches, it doesn't matter I want them all. and when I find a bag that has an unexpected pop of bold color and print for the inside of the bag, the lining, I just can't resist. so...
I added this fun little feature to our barn.
over the last couple of weeks Ben was prepping me to decide what we wanted done on the ceiling of our patio. I knew I wanted a pop but I wasn't sure what exactly. I did a little searching and found some drool worthy options. those also came with migraine sized price tags. such a tease.
a patio with a pop
thankfully Ben had sample colors of metal that were local and easier on the wallet. as I flipped through there was only one that would fit the vibe I was looking for. copper.
it was such an easy decision and exactly the bold, interesting and surprise vibes I was wanting. seeing it in real life did not disappoint.
watching the metal siding be installed and knowing I didn't have any more big decisions coming at me for this phase was such a floaty time. windows were installed and we were waiting on the three big garage doors. I just walked around the barn and property with a blissful energy knowing that the before and after pics of this spot were going to be so rad.
